About Me

In addition to my Bachelor of Arts degree, over the course of my academic career, I have attended classes at ten different colleges and universities.  I received a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Long Beach in 2007.  I became licensed by the State of California in 2016. I belong to several professional organizations including The California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, The Southern California Association of Imago Therapists, Los Angeles CAMFT and SFV CAMFT.  I am required by my profession to participate in Professional Development seminars, which I do on a regular basis.  My approach with clients is based on a balancing acceptance with change.  During the course of therapy, I will likely draw upon various Psychological theories, techniques and approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral, Gestalt, Imago Therapy, Psychodynamic.  As a therapist, I bring certain expertise to our collaboration while you bring self knowledge, the ability to learn from your life experiences and a vision of what you want your life to be.  You are invited to, at any time, ask questions about what we are doing and the reasons for the particular interventions.  This is your process and your investment.
